Gratitude Tea Cup, Saucer and Spoon Gift Set #ad

As a crafter, one of the things I occasionally like to do is enter challenges.  It stretches the imagination and forces you to create within guidelines that have been set forth.  Often, I discover new techniques that I'd like to try or am inspired by what others create.

Which leads me to today's project.  'Tis the season to be thankful, of course, and with that in mind, I've created a gift set specifically for the purpose of gifting to someone and expressing thankfulness.

I plan to put either little treats or a gift card inside this pretty tea cup.

Here are a few close-ups of the die-cuts.  I'm using some of my favorite paper from Graphic 45; A Time To Flourish, November.  The cup and saucer were cut using my Cricut Explore with a design from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge.

I fussy cut those leaves and added some October Afternoon Sprinkles spray and Stickles Glitter Glue.  The tiny spoon was cut from the Mug and Spoon die from Sizzix, using my Cuttlebug and added embellishments from The Ribbon Resource (Ivory burlap string) and DoubleClick Skittles Bubble Embellishments in Pumpkin.  I should mention you get a FREE ROLL of ribbon with every purchase through Christmas at the Ribbon Resource.  Bonus!

I hope I've inspired you to do something kind for someone this Thanksgiving season.  Of course, I'll be entering this project into one or two challenges, as well.  I've included some shopping links, if you'd like to purchase some of the items that I've used today.  I love my Cricut Explore and use it all the time.  If you've been thinking about purchasing one for yourself, well, Christmas is coming up.  What a gift!

Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!

  6. This is gorgeous - love it! I can see this as a place card ... just add recipients name on the spoon. What a fabulous gift for your dinner guests (of course, in my family, you'd need to make 24! ha! Maybe a small dinner party instead). :-)
